Humanist Practice began with this group in Portland, Oregon in 2011. Currently, this is the only Humanist Practice group.
We meet monthly, usually on the first Sunday morning of the month. A few times a year, we have a special “New Member” meeting, geared to new people who might be interested in joining the group. At these meetings we begin by introducing the silent sitting experience, and then sitting quietly together for 30 minutes. Next, we have a presentation explaining the basics of Humanist Practice. If you’ve read through the website and think that Humanist Practice is something that you’d like to participate in, you’re welcome to attend one of these New Member Meetings.
